Ever since I was a kid, my mother stressed the importance of writing Thank You notes (even if I didn't like the gift). Over the years, I not only learned to appreciate the art of writing a well-crafted note, but I also realized the importance (and fun) of choosing the card on which it was written.
I've always loved paper. Whether it was handmade from Nepal or just a simple, yet stunning magazine ad, I began saving snippets of my favorites when I was a teenager. Initially not knowing exactly what to do with my growing paper collection, I started making collage-style cards. The vintage photographs came next, as I discovered that my own family albums were full of real "gems" and can be seen in many of my top-selling cards.
